Biblical Answer

The darkness is a real and present reality, but it is not an insurmountable obstacle for those who have faith in God. The Bible tells us that God is light and in Him is no darkness at all (1 John 1:5). This means that no matter how dark the circumstances may seem, God is always present and working to bring light and hope into our lives. As the psalmist says, "If I say, 'Surely the darkness will hide me and the light become night around me, even the darkness will not be dark to you; the night will be as bright as the day, for darkness is as light to you'" (Psalm 139:11-12). The Bible also teaches us that believers are not in darkness, but rather are children of light (1 Thessalonians 5:5).
