Can God really heal my relationship with my spouse?

God's will is to break down barriers and lift you out of a pit, healing wounds and putting love back in your heart. He can restore your marriage, but even if He doesn't, He is still God. His will is to redeem and restore all relationships, including marriages. Jesus tells us that if we abide in Him and His words abide in us, we will ask what we desire, and it shall be done for us (John 15:7).

The power of healing love in marriage is a miniature version of the same power that Jesus has with us. In Christ, God's love works together with human love to bring about healing and restoration. We must pray for one another and for healing, not because there's any doubt that it will be, but to get ourselves into a right relationship with God. God's will is not to leave us in a state of brokenness, but to bring us back to Himself through the power of His love.

While God's will is to heal, the timing and outcome are ultimately His decisions. We must be patient and persevere in prayer, trusting that God will bring healing and restoration to our marriages. We must also recognize that our relationships with others, including our spouses, are a means by which God can redeem us in other areas of character. By seeking after God and developing a personal relationship with Him, we can experience a deeper and more satisfying love that will transform our marriages and our lives.
