Biblical Answer

When we feel abandoned by God, it's often because we're looking at the circumstances of our lives rather than at God Himself. We're focused on the roadblocks and obstacles that seem to be preventing us from experiencing God's presence and blessing. But the Bible teaches us that God is always seeking us, and that He is not distant or uninterested in our lives. In fact, He has a particular interest in those who have been sinned against, neglected, or abandoned (Jer. 23:1-8). He has a purpose in our lives, and we are His ambassadors.

The problem is that we often focus on our own feelings and experiences rather than on God's character and promises. We might feel guilty, anxious, or depressed, and we might believe that God has abandoned us because of these feelings. But feelings can lie, and they can be a result of our own sinful attitudes and actions. For example, if we're not seeking God with our whole heart, we might feel disconnected from Him. If we're putting other things ahead of God in our lives, we might feel like we're not experiencing His presence. But the truth is that God is always seeking us, and He is always willing to give us our life as a prize if we will totally abandon ourselves to Him (Psalm 16:5).

So what is keeping us from experiencing God's presence and blessing? Is it our own unvoiced frustrations and resentments? Are we indifferent to God because we're too busy or too comfortable with our own lives? Are we seeking happiness and fulfillment in worldly things rather than in God Himself? Whatever the reason, the solution is the same: we need to seek God with our whole heart, and we need to abandon ourselves to Him. When we do, we'll find that He is always present, always seeking us, and always willing to give us our life as a prize. We just need to trust in Him at all times, and to seek Him with all our hearts (Psalm 37:4).
