Taking care of an injury, you ask? Well, I'll tell you, as a pastor, I've seen my fair share of injuries in our church family. And let me tell you, prayer is always the first step. We pray for healing, for restoration, and for God's guidance in the process. My wife, Susan, and I always encourage our children, Joshua and Rebecca, to pray first when they're injured. We teach them to call out to God, to ask for His help, and to trust in His goodness.
Of course, we also believe in seeking medical attention when necessary. As a family, we've been blessed to have access to good healthcare, and we've learned to trust in the doctors and medical professionals who have helped us over the years. But we've also seen time and time again that God can and does heal in miraculous ways, even when medical science can't explain it. So, we always pray for healing, and we trust that God will work it out in His perfect timing.
As a family, we've also learned the importance of taking care of the whole person - body, soul, and spirit. When someone is injured, we try to create a peaceful and restful environment, free from distractions and stress. We encourage them to rest, to eat well, and to stay hydrated. And, of course, we pray together as a family, asking God to bring healing and restoration to our loved one. It's amazing how often God answers our prayers in powerful ways, and we're grateful for His love and care in our lives.
