When Dreams Crash

When we're forced to let go of our dreams, it can be a painful and difficult experience. It's like waking up from a dream, only to find that it was just a dream. Our hopes and aspirations can be crushed, leaving us feeling defeated and hopeless. This can happen when our dreams are not aligned with God's plan for our lives, or when we're not willing to trust in His sovereignty. As Habakkuk said, "Hope deferred makes the heart sick" (Prov. 13:12).

The Importance of Trusting God

When our dreams crash, we have a choice to make. We can either give up on hope and never try again, or we can trust in God's goodness and sovereignty. We must remember that God is bigger than our dreams, and that He has a plan to prosper us, not to harm us (Jer. 29:11). We must be willing to let go of our own desires and trust in God's plan, even if it means sacrificing our own dreams. As Habakkuk said, "The vision is yet for an appointed time; it hastens toward the goal and will not fail. Though it tarries, wait for it; for it will surely come" (Hab. 2:3).

Finding New Dreams

When our dreams crash, it's not the end of our journey. We can find new dreams and new purposes in life, as long as we're willing to trust in God's plan. We must be willing to listen to God's voice and follow His lead, even if it means taking a detour from our original plans. As Habakkuk said, "The vision may be for the future, but eventually you will see the completion of the vision" (Hab. 2:2). We must trust in God's goodness and sovereignty, and be willing to let go of our own dreams in order to follow His plan. This is the key to finding new dreams and new purposes in life.
