Your Question:

Can I still be a good parent?

Answer:

As a parent, I can attest that it's impossible to be perfect. Every parent makes mistakes, and I'm no exception. There will be times when I react out of fear instead of wisdom, and I'll wish I had known better. But that's okay. It's a normal part of the parenting journey. What's important is that I learn from those mistakes and do my best to be a good parent.

One of the most important things I've learned is the importance of being a praying parent. When I'm faced with difficult decisions or situations, I pray for guidance and wisdom. I ask God to help me be the parent and intercessor He wants me to be. I also pray for my children, asking God to help them grow and develop in a way that honors Him. By submitting myself to God and asking for His help, I feel more confident and equipped to be a good parent.

As I look back on my 19 years of marriage and parenting, I realize that being a good parent is not about being perfect, but about being present and available to my children. It's about showing them love, support, and guidance, even when I'm not sure what I'm doing. It's about being willing to learn and grow alongside them. And it's about trusting God to work in their lives, even when I don't understand what's happening. By focusing on these things, I believe I can be a good parent, even if I make mistakes along the way.
