Biblical Answer

To regain confidence, we must first understand that lasting confidence does not come from circumstances. Rather, it comes from God. This is evident in the Bible, where Jesus said, "If you had faith the size of a mustard seed, you could say to this mulberry tree, 'Be uprooted and planted in the sea,' and it would obey you" (Luke 17:6). This verse shows that our confidence should be in God's ability and faithfulness, not in our own abilities or circumstances. When we have confidence in God, we can approach Him with boldness and assurance, knowing that He will answer our prayers.

Our confidence in God is also rooted in His faithfulness. The Bible teaches that God is faithful and that He rewards those who seek Him (Hebrews 11:6). So, how can we regain confidence in God? First, we must admit that we were silly to think that any evangelistic technique or circumstance could guarantee conversions or answers to prayer. Our confidence must be based on the faithfulness of God, not on our own abilities or circumstances. When we have confidence in God, we can approach Him with boldness and assurance, knowing that He will answer our prayers. We must also recognize that our confidence is not based on our own history or perseverance, but on God's character and faithfulness. By trusting in God's faithfulness, we can have confidence in Him, even in the midst of crises or challenges. As the Bible says, "We are confident of this: that He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus" (Philippians 1:6). This verse gives us a perspective on living in the present that is laced with confidence, knowing that God is working in our lives and will complete the good work He has started.
