Biblical Answer

The Bible teaches us that pain is a universal experience that we all go through. In the book of Job, Job asks God, "Why do I groan under my burdens, why do I go mourning to my home, why do I spend the night in straining away my soul?" (Job 3:24). Job is seeking to understand why he is experiencing pain and suffering. Similarly, in the book of Psalms, David writes, "My God, my God, why have you forsaken me? Why are you so far from saving me, from the words of my groaning?" (Psalm 22:1). David is also seeking to understand why he is experiencing pain and suffering.

The Bible teaches us that pain is not always easy to understand or explain. In fact, the Bible says that we will experience pain and suffering in this life, but we should not be surprised by it (John 16:33). The Bible also teaches us that we should not try to avoid pain at all costs, but rather we should learn to live with it and trust in God's sovereignty over our lives. As the Bible says, "We also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope" (Romans 5:3-4).

In terms of why you got stuck with chronic pain, the Bible teaches us that pain is a result of the Fall of humanity (Genesis 3). As a result of sin, we experience physical and emotional pain. However, the Bible also teaches us that God is sovereign over all things, including our pain and suffering (Psalm 103:19). This means that even in the midst of pain and suffering, we can trust that God is working everything out for our good (Romans 8:28). We can also learn to live with our pain and trust in God's sovereignty over our lives, rather than trying to avoid it at all costs. By doing so, we can develop perseverance, character, and hope, which can help us to navigate even the most difficult times of pain and suffering.
