When your children ask where God is, you can encourage them to draw on the knowledge they already have about God and apply it to their questions. Ask them questions like "Do you think God is everywhere?" or "How do you think God is present in our lives?" This will help them think critically about their own beliefs and come up with their own answers. You can also ask them to explain why they think God might be present in certain situations or places.

For older children, you can ask each child separately how they think they might have contributed to a disagreement or argument. Explain to them that God says we are to take the obstacle out of our own eyes before we instruct others (Matthew 7:3-5). This will help them understand the importance of self-reflection and taking responsibility for their own actions. You can also ask them to explain why they think God allows difficult situations to happen, and how they think God might be working in those situations.

It's also important to remember that God is present in every situation, even if we can't see it. We can't evade accountability to God's judgment, and every part of our lives belongs to Him (Matthew 10:29-31). Teach your children that they are stewards of every part of their lives, including their thoughts, words, and actions. Encourage them to see God's sovereignty in their lives, even when things seem difficult or confusing. By doing so, you can help them develop a deeper understanding of God's presence and character. In this way, they can learn to trust God and find comfort in His presence, even in the midst of tough questions and difficult situations.
