The Bible Teaches Us to Trust God for Our Needs

As a follower of Jesus Christ, I want to encourage you to trust God for your needs, including medical treatment. When we trust God, we are not trusting our own resources, but rather His sovereignty and provision. In Matthew 6:25-34, Jesus teaches us to seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and then all these things will be added unto us. This includes our financial needs. When we trust God, we can say with the psalmist, "The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing" (Psalm 23:1). He provides for our needs, including medical treatment, when we put our trust in Him.

Prayer and Faith are Key to Trusting God

When we face a financial challenge, such as paying for medical treatment, we need to pray and have faith that God will provide. In Matthew 17:14-21, we see an example of faith in action. A father brought his son to Jesus, asking Him to heal him. Jesus healed the boy, but not before the father expressed his faith, saying, "If you can do anything, have pity on us and help us" (Matthew 17:15). Jesus replied, "If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes" (Mark 9:23). When we pray and have faith, we are exercising our trust in God's sovereignty and provision.

God's Provision is Not Limited by Our Resources

When we trust God for our needs, we need to remember that His provision is not limited by our resources. In 2 Corinthians 9:8, the apostle Paul writes, "And God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, may have an abundance for every good work." This means that God can provide for our needs, including medical treatment, even when we don't have the financial resources to pay for it. When we trust God, we can say with the psalmist, "I would have lost heart, unless I had believed that I would see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living" (Psalm 27:13). So, don't be afraid to trust God for your needs, including medical treatment. He will provide for you.
