#### Is It Right to Ask for Miracles?

Some people might argue that asking for miracles is too much to expect from God. However, the example of the early church in Acts 9:32-35 shows that the disciples did ask for miracles, and God answered their prayers. In fact, the disciples in Lydda sent for Peter, who prayed for the healing of a man who had been paralyzed for eight years. This example gives us encouragement to ask God for miracles. Geisler writes, "Far from teaching that we should not ask God for miracles, this example of the early church gives us some encouragement to do so."

#### The Possibility of Miracles

Some people might argue that miracles are impossible because they go against the uniformity of nature. However, this argument is not as strong as it seems. According to Geisler, "To a man whose belief in God is strong and practical, a miracle will appear as possible as any other effect, as the most common event in life." In other words, if we have faith in God's power and sovereignty, we can believe that miracles are possible. In fact, the Bible is full of examples of miracles that occurred when God intervened in the natural world. Therefore, it is not too much to ask for a miracle. Instead, we should ask God to perform miracles and trust in His power and sovereignty.
