Is God really gone?!

Using the academic philosophers as a reference point, God is making a comeback. The question now is, Is God Coming Back to Life? This is a significant shift from the 1960s when the consensus was that God was dead. The interest in philosophy of religion has grown, and the discussion has become more nuanced. While some may argue that God's existence is uncertain, the idea that God is absent or dead is no longer widely accepted. In fact, many philosophers are now exploring the possibility of God's return or revival.

The concept of God's absence or death is often linked to the idea of a "secular" world, where God is no longer seen as relevant or present. However, this perspective neglects the fact that God's presence is not limited by human understanding or experience. God's existence is not dependent on human perception or scientific evidence. In fact, the Bible teaches that God is sovereign and all-powerful, and that He can be present even in the midst of chaos and uncertainty. As the prophet Isaiah writes, "Before they call I will answer; while they are still speaking I will hear" (Isaiah 65:24). This verse highlights God's willingness to engage with humanity, even when we may not be aware of His presence.

In contrast to the idea of a Godless universe, the Bible presents a different worldview. It suggests that God is always present, even when we may not be aware of it. This is not to say that God's presence is always visible or tangible, but rather that He is always working behind the scenes, guiding and directing the course of human history. As the apostle Paul writes, "For we are God's handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do" (Ephesians 2:10). This verse reminds us that God is always at work, even when we may not be aware of it. So, to answer the question, Is God really gone?! The answer is no, God is not gone. He is always present, working behind the scenes, and guiding us towards His purposes.
