In the face of a disability, it can be challenging to find a sense of purpose. Some people may view their desires and aspirations as being on the same level as a physical disability, seeing them as a terrible consequence of the fall that must be endured. However, this perspective does not take into account the transforming power of the gospel. As Christians, we know that our purpose is not found in our own abilities or desires, but in our relationship with God. Our purpose is to glorify Him and enjoy Him forever (Psalm 16:11). This is a beautiful example of how our limitations can be used for the good of others and for the glory of God.

Ultimately, our sense of purpose is not defined by our abilities or disabilities. It is defined by our relationship with God and our desire to serve Him. As the apostle Paul wrote, "I can do all this through him who gives me strength" (Philippians 4:13). This verse reminds us that our strength comes not from ourselves, but from Christ. Even in the midst of physical or cognitive limitations, we can still have a sense of purpose and fulfillment as we seek to serve and glorify God. In fact, our limitations can be a powerful reminder of our dependence on Him and our need for His strength. By fixing our eyes on Him and trusting in His power, we can find a sense of purpose and fulfillment that goes beyond our circumstances.
