The Bible's Teaching on Greed

The Bible teaches that greed is a sin and a root of all kinds of evil (1 Timothy 6:10). It is a form of idolatry (Colossians 3:5) and is condemned by Jesus as a major obstacle to following Him (Luke 12:15).
