Biblical Answer

As a pastor and a follower of God, I've come to understand that God's plan refers to His unified intention and the consistency of His actions. It's not just a collection of random events, but rather a deliberate and purposeful design that He has ordained from the beginning. The Bible says, "But the plans of the Lord stand firm forever, the purposes of his heart through all generations" (Ps. 33:11). This means that God's plan is not subject to change or alteration, but rather it is fixed and unshakeable.

The question of suffering and evil is a complex one, and it's natural to wonder how a good God can allow such things to happen. But the Bible teaches us that God's plan includes everything that occurs, and that He is at work carrying out that plan. This doesn't mean that God is the author of evil, but rather that He is sovereign over all things, including evil. In His plan, God has willed and planned everything, including the good and the bad, and He sees to it that His plans are fulfilled with good consequences.

In the face of suffering, it's essential to understand that God's plan is not just about our individual experiences, but about His greater glory. As the Bible says, "We must bear in mind that God is truly the Lord. We exist for his sake, for his glory and pleasure, rather than he for ours" (Ps. 115:3). This means that our suffering, though difficult to understand, is part of a larger plan that ultimately points to God's glory and redemption. As a pastor, I've seen many people struggle with this question, but ultimately, it's a matter of trust and faith in God's sovereign plan.
