Your Question:
Can I still find purpose in life if I'm no longer the same person?
Answer:
As a pastor, I've seen many people struggle with finding purpose in life, especially when they feel like they're no longer the same person. I believe that our purpose in life is not just about overcoming depression or achieving a specific goal, but about living a life that is aligned with God's will. According to Scripture, our major purpose in life is to glorify God and to live a life that produces a yearning for God in the lives of others. For me, my purpose in life is to serve God and to help others come to know Him. As a pastor, I've been called to shepherd a local evangelical church and to help people deepen their relationship with God. My purpose is not about my own personal interests or ambitions, but about allowing God to take me directly into His purpose for the world. This means surrendering my own plans and understanding, and allowing God to guide me in His ways. When I think about my life's purpose, I'm reminded of the importance of focusing on Jesus and living by faith. By thinking about the purpose God has for my life, I'm able to apply faith to all my tasks and live a life that is pleasing to Him. It's not always easy, and there are times when I struggle with my own motivations and desires. But by keeping my eyes fixed on Jesus, I'm able to stay on track and live a life that is authentic and meaningful.
