Can I Still Find Purpose?

The question of finding purpose is a common one, especially when we are facing uncertainty or adversity. As Christians, we may wonder if we can still find purpose in the midst of life's challenges. The Bible teaches us that our purpose is to enjoy God and take pleasure in Him (Psalm 16:11). However, when we think of our own interests, we may try to find purpose in various things, such as our careers or relationships. But these things are not our ultimate purpose.

The Bible also teaches us that our purpose is not to achieve some end or other, but rather to enjoy God and take pleasure in Him. This is not to say that we should not have goals or ambitions, but rather that our ultimate purpose should be to glorify God and enjoy Him. As the Bible says, "Whatever you do, do your work heartily, as for the Lord rather than for men" (Colossians 3:23). This means that our purpose should be to serve God and bring glory to Him, regardless of what we are doing.

So, can we still find purpose in the midst of life's challenges? The answer is yes. We can find purpose by focusing on Jesus and seeking to glorify Him in all that we do. As the Bible says, "Fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith" (Hebrews 12:2). We can also update our life plan and commit ourselves to meeting God daily in prayer and reading His Word. By doing so, we can stay calm, faithful, and unconfused, even in the midst of turmoil. Our purpose is to depend on God and His power, and to enjoy Him in all that we do. By focusing on Jesus and seeking to glorify Him, we can find purpose and live a life that is pleasing to God.
