What if I can't afford to keep my home?

The Bible teaches that our true home is not in this world, but in heaven with God. As Jesus said, "Let not your heart be troubled. You believe in God; believe also in me. My Father's house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you?" (John 14:1-2). Our focus should be on building a relationship with God, not on accumulating wealth and possessions.

In terms of physical homes, the Bible teaches that it's not the house that makes a home, but the people who live there. A house can be a place of comfort and security, but it's not a guarantee of happiness. As Psalm 127:1 says, "Unless the Lord builds the house, the builders labor in vain." If we focus too much on material possessions, we may find that they don't bring us the happiness and fulfillment we're looking for. Instead, we should focus on building relationships with our family and community, and on cultivating a strong faith in God.

If you're struggling to afford your home, it's not the end of the world. The Bible teaches that God provides for his people, and that we should trust in him to meet our needs. As Matthew 6:25-34 says, "Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life?" (NIV). We should trust in God's provision and not worry about our physical needs.
