Understanding the Complexity of Right and Wrong

The question of what is right and wrong can be a complex and daunting one. It's as if the world is full of ambiguity and uncertainty, making it difficult to discern what is truly right. This is evident in the way that our desires and motivations can be at odds with what we know is right. We may want to do what is wrong, even when we know it is wrong, and this can lead to feelings of guilt and shame. The Bible reminds us that our hearts are deceitful and that we are prone to wander from God's ways (Jeremiah 17:9). The Role of God's Sovereignty

However, the Bible reminds us that God is sovereign over all creation, and that He is working all things together for our good (Romans 8:28). This trust is rooted in the fact that God is a loving Father who desires our best, and that He is always working to bring about good in our lives.

We must also be willing to submit to God's authority and follow His lead, even when it's difficult or uncomfortable. As we do this, we can trust that God will guide us and give us wisdom to know what is right and wrong. As the Psalmist wrote, "Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light for my path" (Psalm 119:105). May we seek to follow God's lead and trust in His sovereignty, even when everything feels wrong.
