The Purpose of Difficult Paths in Our Lives

We must understand that God gives us difficult paths in our lives for a purpose. He wants us to grow in our faith, and this growth can only be achieved through trials and tribulations. When we face obstacles, we are forced to rely on God and trust in His sovereignty. This trust is the foundation of our faith, and it is only through the difficult paths that we can develop this trust. The Bible tells us that God uses our troubles to make us stronger and to teach us valuable lessons. As the apostle Peter says, "Christ also suffered for you, leaving you an example, that you should follow in his steps" (1 Peter 2:21). This means that we must be willing to go through the difficult times and learn from them, just as Jesus did.

The Obstacles are Not the Focus

It is easy to get caught up in the obstacles and difficulties of life and lose sight of the bigger picture. However, we must not focus on the obstacles themselves, but rather on the God who is working through them. The Bible tells us that "He knows the way He taketh, even if for the moment we do not" (Jeremiah 29:11). This means that God has a plan for our lives, and He is working to bring us to a place of greater faith and trust in Him. As we face our obstacles, we must keep our eyes on God and trust in His ability to move the obstacles out of our way. The river of the Spirit of God overcomes all obstacles, and we must learn to trust in this river and its power.

The Path of Apprenticeship to Jesus

The path of apprenticeship to Jesus is one of giving up all we are to receive all God is. This means that we must be willing to let go of our own strength and abilities and trust in God's power and sovereignty. As we do this, we will find that our faith grows, and we are able to overcome the obstacles that once seemed insurmountable. The Bible tells us that "He who says he abides in him ought to walk in the same way in which he walked" (1 John 2:6). This means that we must follow Jesus' example and trust in His ability to lead us through the difficult times. As we do this, we will find that our faith is strengthened, and we are able to overcome any obstacle that comes our way.
