Kindness is the best way to show love to those around us without expecting anything in return. It is a decision to do for others what they cannot do for themselves in that moment. According to Proverbs 4:23, we should bind kindness and truth around our necks and write them on the tablet of our heart, making it a part of who we are.

When someone cuts us off while driving or slanders us behind our backs, it can be challenging to respond with kindness. Nevertheless, Jesus teaches us that even in the face of adversity, we should respond with kindness, not retaliation. He says, "Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you" (Luke 6:27-28). By choosing to be kind, even when it's hard, we demonstrate our love for others and our commitment to living out our faith.
