Biblical Answer

In a chaotic world filled with noise and distractions, our words can have the power to uplift or tear down. As followers of Christ, we must be mindful of the words we speak, as they can either bring life or death. The Bible teaches us to guard our words, especially in the books of Psalms and Proverbs, where we are reminded of the importance of speaking life-giving words. In Ephesians 4:29, 5:4, and Colossians 3:8, we are instructed to avoid speaking words that can cause harm or division.

It's about surrendering our will to His, and allowing Him to work in our lives. As the Scripture says, "Faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ" (Romans 10:17). Faith is not about us, but about God's ability to work in and through us. When we trust in His power, we can speak words that bring hope and encouragement to others, even in the midst of chaos.

But how do we know if our words are from God? The Bible teaches us to seek God's guidance and wisdom, and to be led by the Spirit. In 1 Corinthians 2:1-5, we are reminded that our faith should not rest in human wisdom, but in the power of God. When we seek to speak words that are guided by God's Spirit, we can be confident that they will bring life and encouragement to others, even in the midst of chaos.
