The Lie of Inadequacy

The question "Why me?" often stems from a deep-seated feeling of inadequacy. This feeling can be rooted in various factors, such as past experiences, self-doubt, or the influence of others. However, as Christians, we must remember that we are made in the image of God (Genesis 1:26-27). This reality should fill us with a sense of purpose and worth, rather than leading us to believe we are not enough.

The Enemy's Tactics

The enemy often uses deception to make us believe we are not enough. He will sit at our table, whispering lies into our ears, making us feel worthless and unlovable. However, we must not let him stay. We must recognize his tactics and resist his lies. As the Bible says, "You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore, honor God with your bodies" (1 Corinthians 6:19-20). We are not our own, and we have been bought at a great price. We are children of God, and we have value and worth in His eyes.

Finding Strength in God

When we feel inadequate, it's essential to look beyond our present troubles and see the bigger picture. God wants to use our struggles to make us stronger and better people. As the Bible says, "And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose" (Romans 8:28). We must look beyond our present struggles and trust that God is working everything out for our good. We must also remember that we have the power of the finished work of Jesus, and we can overcome any obstacle that comes our way. We are not alone in our struggles, and we have a God who loves us and wants to help us. Let us not give up, but instead, let us rise up and fight the battle to win our minds, knowing that we have the power of God on our side.
