Prioritizing Love in a Busy World

In today's fast-paced world, it's easy to get caught up in the demands of life and let love take a backseat. However, as Christians, we are called to prioritize love above all else. According to the Bible, love is not just a feeling or an action, but a choice we make every day. It's a choice to put God and others first, even when it's hard or uncomfortable. As C.S. Lewis said, "We must be cautious about calling Need-love mere selfishness." Need-love is not selfish when it's motivated by a desire to love and serve God and others, rather than just ourselves.

So, how do we prioritize love when life gets busy? First, we need to recognize that love is not just about romantic relationships or friendships, but about our relationship with God and our obedience to Him. When we put God first, we will naturally love others more. As Frank Sheed said, "Love is not merely a feeling, but a decision to act with godly motives." When we act with godly motives, we will be motivated by a desire to serve and love others, rather than just ourselves. This means prioritizing time with God, serving others, and putting their needs before our own.

To prioritize love in a busy world, we need to make intentional choices to put God and others first.
