The Bible's Assurance of Salvation

The Bible provides assurance of salvation, stating that believers will be saved on the last day, provided they continue in the faith, stable and steadfast, not shifting from the hope of the gospel which they heard (Col. 1:23). This assurance is based on the redemption that is complete through Jesus Christ, and believers can be confident that they will be saved.

Waiting for Salvation

Waiting for salvation is not a sign of being unsaved. In fact, the Bible encourages believers to wait patiently for God, trusting in His promise to save them (Psalm 37:7-8). Waiting can be a test of faith, and it can provide clearer insight into God's plan. However, waiting should not be passive; believers should continue to pray and seek God's guidance.

God's Desire to Save

God's desire is for all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth (1 Timothy 2:4). He is not slow about His promise, and He is forbearing toward those who have not yet repented (2 Peter 3:9). Believers can be confident that God wants to save them and that He will forgive their sins through the blood of Jesus Christ (1 John 1:7). Therefore, it is not too late to be saved, and believers can continue to seek God's guidance and forgiveness.
