Understanding God's Sovereignty and Our Relationship with Him

When we ask why God has to take everything away from us, we must first acknowledge that God's sovereignty is not about giving us everything we ask for. Rather, it's about loving us too much to give us everything we ask for, but still wanting us to ask and bring our requests to Him. This is not about God being capricious or unloving, but about Him being a loving Father who knows what's best for us. God's plan is not to give us everything we want, but to give us Himself.
