Dealing with Crisis and Chaos in Life

When everything seems to be falling apart, it can be overwhelming and feel like an insurmountable challenge. However, the Bible teaches us that we don't have to face these challenges alone. This involves recognizing that God is holy love and that He is sovereign over all creation. By establishing ourselves on this eternal truth, we can gain the mental composure needed to navigate life's challenges. Faith is the supreme effort of our lives, and it involves throwing ourselves onto God, trusting in His goodness and sovereignty. When we do this, we can begin to see that God is working in our lives, even in the midst of chaos and crisis.

Ultimately, surviving in the midst of crisis and chaos requires a deep and abiding relationship with Jesus Christ. This involves recognizing our need for Him, acknowledging our sin and weakness, and surrendering to His sovereignty. By establishing a Rule of Life, breaking free from habits and patterns that hold us back, and seeking help from others, we can begin to navigate life's challenges with greater confidence and hope. As the Bible reminds us, "God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble." (Psalm 46:1) We don't have to face life's challenges alone – we can turn to God and trust in His goodness and sovereignty.
