Can I still have a relationship with God after what happened?

The Bible indicates that a relationship with God is a permanent one. As children of God, we are heirs, heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ (Romans 8:17). This relationship is not something that can be broken or lost, but rather it is a secure and eternal bond between us and God. However, the quality of our relationship with God can be distorted or damaged by our actions and attitudes. When we sin or rebel against God, our relationship with Him is strained or broken.

But the good news is that God is always seeking to restore our relationship with Him. Through the work of Jesus Christ and the power of the Holy Spirit, we can be lifted into a deeper and more intimate relationship with God. We can pray to God in Jesus' name, and He will hear and answer us (John 14:13-14). Our relationship with God is not dependent on our feelings or circumstances, but rather on our faith and trust in Him. As we seek to renew our relationship with God, we must be willing to go through the process of renunciation or rejection before Him, and to let Him work through whatever circumstances may be present in our lives.

Ultimately, our relationship with God is not about us, but about Him. He is the One Who suffered for us, and He desires a relationship with us. We do not have to assume that God is making us jump through unnecessary hoops, but rather we can trust in His goodness and love. As we seek to deepen our relationship with God, we must be willing to surrender our will and our lives to Him, and to trust in His sovereignty and love. By doing so, we can experience a rich and meaningful relationship with God, even in the midst of difficult circumstances.
