Your Question:

Why did God make me so sick?

Answer:

As a pastor, I've seen many people struggle with the question of why God allows evil and suffering in their lives. It's a question that's often tied to our understanding of God's sovereignty and goodness. While I don't have all the answers, I do know that God's ways are not our ways, and His purposes are often beyond our understanding.

In the face of suffering, it's easy to question God's love and goodness. But I've come to realize that God's silence in the midst of pain is not a sign of His absence, but rather a call to trust in His goodness and sovereignty. As the Bible says, "The Lord gave, and the Lord has taken away; blessed be the name of the Lord." (Job 1:21) This doesn't mean that we should be passive in the face of suffering, but rather that we should seek to understand God's purposes in it, even when we don't understand them.

In my own life, I've struggled with questions of why God allows evil and suffering. But through prayer, Bible study, and seeking wisdom from others, I've come to see that God's purposes are often to help us grow in faith, trust, and dependence on Him. As the Bible says, "We also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope." (Romans 5:3-4) So, while I don't have all the answers to why God made me so sick, I do know that He is working all things out for my good, even when I don't understand them.
