Can I Still Have a Fulfilling Life Without a Job?

A fulfilling life without a job may seem like a paradox, but it's a reality that can be achieved through a life of apprenticeship in following Jesus Christ. When our top priority is our relationship with God, everything else, including our career, falls into its rightful place. However, when we prioritize our job or material possessions over our faith, we can experience emptiness and dissatisfaction, even if we're successful in our career.

The Bible's Perspective on Work and Purpose

The Bible teaches that work is not just a means to an end, but a calling from God. In fact, the word "vocation" comes from the Latin word for "calling." When we see our work as a calling, it gives us a sense of purpose and fulfillment that goes beyond just a paycheck. However, the Bible also warns us against putting our trust in material possessions and wealth. Jesus taught that true fulfillment comes from a relationship with God, not from accumulating wealth or possessions. In fact, He said that it's impossible to serve both God and money (Matthew 6:24).
