The Dangers of Overemphasis on Safety

When we prioritize our desire for safety above our call to take risks for God, we risk becoming overly cautious and missing out on opportunities to serve and obey Him. This is not to say that safety is not important, but rather that we must not let it become an idol that distracts us from our relationship with God. As the psalmist says, "The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear?" (Psalm 27:1). We must trust in God's sovereignty and provision, even when the path ahead seems uncertain.
