The Desire for Independence vs. The Need for Community

When it comes to balancing the desire for independence with the need for community, we must consider the importance of humility and interdependence. As the Bible teaches, "no man is an island" (Ecclesiastes 4:9-12). We are created to live in community, and our individual independence is not meant to be pursued at the expense of our relationships with others.
