The Fall and Disability

The idea that a permanent disability is a terrible consequence of the fall that must be endured is a perspective that does not adequately account for the transforming power of the gospel. Just as the Bible says, "You are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God's special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light." (1 Peter 2:9) Our worth and value come from our relationship with God, not from our abilities or accomplishments.
