Joy in the Simple Things

Joy is not just a feeling, but an attitude. It is a choice that we make, and it can be commanded. According to the Bible, joy is a result of knowing God and delighting in his excellence. When we have a personal relationship with God, we can find joy in the simple things. This is because God is the one who richly provides us with everything for our enjoyment (1 Tim. 6:17). Everything good can produce joy, and we experience joy when we participate in God's joy. This means that we can find joy in creation, in the beauty of nature, in the people around us, and in the simple pleasures of life.
