The Christian Mandate for Earth Stewardship

As Christians, we have a mandate from God to take care of the earth for future generations. This is not a new idea, but one that has been present in the Bible from the beginning. In Genesis 1:28, God instructs humans to "subdue" and "rule over" the earth, but also to be "cultivators" of it. God's Sovereignty and Our Responsibility

The Bible teaches that God will ultimately restore the earth to its original glory (Isaiah 35:1-2, Revelation 21:1-4).
