This is of course the very principle spelled out expressly in Proverbs 4:23: Watch your heart to some small act of kindness? Its highly likely thats your joyous burden of love. Its easy and light. Do it, and you will discover true happiness." These verses remind us that kindness is a choice, and it's one that can bring us joy and happiness.

When we choose to be kind, even when it's hard, it can have a profound impact on our lives. As Jesus knows from personal experience, "the weight of the burden is light" (Matthew 11:30).
