Can I Still Trust God When Everything Falls Apart?

Trust in God is not a feeling that comes and goes; it's a choice that we make every day. When everything falls apart, it can be tempting to question God's sovereignty and goodness. However, as the Bible says, "If God is for us, who can be against us?" (Romans 8:31). Our trust in God is not based on our circumstances, but on His character and promises.

When we trust God, we are not saying that we need Him because we have failed, but because we have finally realized that He is our true destination. This trust is not a sign of weakness, but of strength. As the psalmist says, "I will trust in you and not be afraid. For I am confident that I will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living" (Psalm 27:1). This trust is not just about trusting God in the good times, but also in the hard times.

In times of uncertainty and turmoil, it's easy to feel like we're losing control. But the Bible says, "Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God" (Philippians 4:6). This doesn't mean that we stop trying or become passive. Rather, it means that we trust God to work everything out for our good, even when we can't see it. As the apostle Paul says, "And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose" (Romans 8:28). So, even when everything falls apart, we can still trust God because He is our rock, our refuge, and our Savior.
