The Lethality of Hopelessness

Hopelessness is a lethal condition that can be devastating to one's mental and emotional well-being. When everything feels hopeless, it can be challenging to find the strength to carry on. However, as a Christian, we are reminded that our hope is not in earthly things, but in God. We are encouraged to pray for eyes to see, to look beyond our current circumstances and focus on the eternal hope that we have in Christ.

The Nature of Hope

Hope is not just a feeling or a sentiment; it is a choice that we make every day. It is a decision to trust in God's goodness and sovereignty, even when our circumstances seem bleak. When we put our trust in something other than Christ, we open ourselves up to the possibility of despair. But when we build our hope on Him, we can be confident that He is working everything out for our good. As the Bible says, "Salvation is yours the moment you look" (Psalm 119:173). Finding Hope in God

So, how can we still have hope when everything feels hopeless? The answer is to look to God. We need to wake ourselves up and push aside the things that are pressing in on us, and focus on the eternal hope that we have in Christ. This requires a decision to trust in God's goodness and sovereignty, even when our circumstances seem bleak. It requires a willingness to look beyond our current situation and focus on the future that God has planned for us. As we build our hope on Him, we can be confident that He is working everything out for our good, and that our hopes and dreams will be fulfilled if they are noble and pure. As the Bible says, "Every hope or dream of the human mind will be fulfilled if it is noble and pure" (Psalm 37:4). So, let us look to God and find hope in Him, even when everything feels hopeless.
