Can I still have a quality of life?

The concept of quality of life is often misunderstood, and it's essential to understand that it's not just about being happy or blessed. A quality of life is a condition of life that is characterized by good relationships, happiness, and health. Research has shown that good relationships are a key factor in maintaining happiness and health. According to a 75-year study of well-being, good relationships keep us happier and healthier. This suggests that investing in relationships and building strong connections with others can lead to a more fulfilling life.

However, the Bible teaches us that our lives are not defined by our circumstances or possessions. We are not our career, our children, or our material possessions. Our worth and value come from our relationship with God through Jesus Christ. When we surrender our lives to God, we can experience a life of purpose, meaning, and fulfillment. This is not a life of mere happiness or self-satisfaction but a life of deep satisfaction and joy that comes from living a life that is pleasing to God.

In order to live a quality of life, we need to prioritize our relationship with God and surrender our lives to Him. This means living a life that is consistent with God's Word and values. It means being a person of love, kindness, and compassion. It means being committed to becoming a better version of ourselves, not just for our own benefit but for the benefit of those around us. When we live a life that is pleasing to God, we can experience a life of abundance, joy, and fulfillment that is not dependent on our circumstances but on our relationship with Him. As the Bible says, "I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full" (John 10:10). This is the kind of life that we can experience when we surrender our lives to God and live a life that is pleasing to Him.
