Biblical Answer

I can relate to the feeling of hopelessness and despair that can come from a world that seems unfair. As a pastor, I've seen many people struggle with this same issue. It's easy to get caught up in the idea that we have to be perfect, that we have to meet all the demands made on us, and that if we don't, we're somehow failing. But the truth is, we're not going to be able to meet all those demands, and if we try, we'll end up burning out.

The problem is, we've been taught to believe that happiness is the goal, and suffering must be avoided at all costs. But the Bible tells us that this is not the case. Misery persists, but the scales are tipped in favor of joy. The King is seated, and the celebration has begun in heaven. We could not be loved more than we are right now, and there are tastes of heaven available even now. It's a matter of perspective, and it's a matter of trust. Do we trust that God is good, even when things don't seem fair? Do we trust that He is working all things together for our good?

As I look back on my own life, I realize that I've had to learn to trust God in the midst of uncertainty and hardship. It's not always easy, but it's the only way to find true peace and joy. And it's not just about me - it's about my family, too. My wife Susan and I have been married for 19 years, and we've had our share of struggles. But through it all, we've learned to trust God, to surrender to Him, and to find joy in the midst of hardship. It's not a quick fix, but it's a journey that's worth taking. And I believe that with God's help, we can find solace in a world that feels unfair.
