Is God still with me even when I doubt?

Doubt is a natural part of the Christian walk. Even the apostle Paul struggled with doubts and fears (2 Cor. 11:26). However, when doubts arise, it's essential to stop and immediately seek God's guidance. We must not try to reason out our doubts, saying, "I wonder why I shouldn't do this?" Instead, we should yield to God's teachings and guidance, and trust in His sovereignty over our lives.

When we doubt, it's often because we're not trusting in God's goodness and power. We may feel like He's holding out on us, or that He's not really good. But the Bible teaches us that God is a loving Father who desires to give us good gifts (Matthew 7:11). He's not distant or noncommunicative, but rather, He's actively involved in our lives. When we doubt, we must remember that God's grip on us is what makes the difference, not our own grip on Him (Psalm 37:4-5).

So, is God still with you even when you doubt? The answer is yes! God is always with us, even when we doubt. He knows our doubts and understands them (Psalm 139:1-4). In fact, Jesus invites us to come to Him with our doubts and fears, promising to give us rest and peace (Matthew 11:28-30). When we surrender to Him and trust in His sovereignty, He will guide us through our doubts and lead us into a deeper understanding of His love and goodness. We can trust God, even when we doubt, because He will not let us be tested more than we can stand (1 Corinthians 10:13). He will make a way out so that we can bear it. So, let us approach our doubts with basic trust, openness to, and even a desire for the truth of God's existence, and trust in His sovereignty over our lives.
