Keeping Faith During Difficult Times

As you navigate through challenging circumstances, it's essential to remember that faith is not about feeling, but about knowing. "Faith is knowing God will do something, even when you don't know what He will do" (Day 3 Experiencing Faith). This means that even when you can't see the way ahead, you can still believe steadfastly on Him. The Bible encourages us to "hold the beginning of our confidence steadfast to the end" (Hebrews 3:14). This requires us to continually talk to God, pray specifically about our obstacles, and ask for Christ to enlighten us and give us strength to overcome them.

Rather, it's about making a deliberate commitment to the Person of Jesus Christ, even when we can't see the way ahead. As we learn to trust God for guidance in small increments, we can take steps of faith, even when we don't know what lies ahead. This is not about being naive or ignoring the challenges, but about trusting God's sovereignty and goodness.

To keep your faith during difficult times, it's crucial to have a daily personal time with God, where you talk to Him and He talks to you. This is when you can establish a prayer-relationship with God and build your faith. As you learn to trust God and take steps of faith, your faith will grow stronger. Remember that faith is like developing strong muscles – you must continually use it or you will lose your strength. So, be on guard against the obstacles that can weaken your faith, and instead, look for opportunities to grow and develop your faith in God. By doing so, you'll be able to navigate through challenging circumstances with confidence and trust in God's goodness and sovereignty.
