Keeping Going When Everything is Gone

When everything you worked for is gone, it can be a difficult and painful experience. As Christians, we must remember that God is sovereign and that He is always working, even in the midst of chaos and uncertainty. It's essential to keep our focus on Him and His purposes, rather than getting bogged down in our circumstances. In the face of adversity, we can take a cue from the apostle Paul, who wrote, "I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances. I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want" (Philippians 4:11-12).

To keep going when everything is gone, we must be intentional about our focus and our priorities. We need to examine our lives and identify areas where we have become sluggish or disconnected from our spiritual purpose. We must acknowledge the pain of the past and turn towards God, rather than trying to face it alone. As the psalmist wrote, "Hope takes practice" (Psalm 42:5). We must be willing to take small steps towards engaging in the struggle, even when it's hard. We can learn from our failures and use them as a classroom to construct an upward road to success. We must also remember that we are not alone in our struggles, and that God is always with us, working out His purposes.

As we navigate the challenges of life, we must remember to serve the Lord from a grateful heart, rather than just going through the motions. We must focus on our purpose and repeat it often, reminding ourselves of what God wants us to accomplish. We must also be intentional about integrating our lives, aligning our daily tasks with our spiritual purpose. As the apostle Paul wrote, "Whatever you do, do it all to the glory of God" (1 Corinthians 10:31). By keeping our focus on God and His purposes, we can keep going, even when everything we worked for is gone. We can learn to be content in any and every situation, and trust that God is always working, even in the midst of chaos and uncertainty.
