Surrender and Trust

In the situation where you have to give up your car, it's essential to understand that God is not asking you to give up everything at once. He will not overwhelm you with too much at one time. Instead, He will guide you to surrender one thing at a time, starting with the smallest thing that stands between you and Him. It may seem insignificant, but it's often the tiny things that represent the stronghold of our obstinacy. When we give up these small things, we begin to break free from our self-reliance and trust God more.

Faith and Trust

To give up your car, you need to have faith that God will provide for your needs. This is not about trusting your own abilities or resources but about trusting God's sovereignty over your life. As Jesus said, "Whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them" (Mk 11:24). This means that you must believe God will give you what you need, even if it's not in the way you expect. When you surrender your car, you're not just giving up a material possession; you're also giving up your control and trust in it.

God's Provision

When you give up your car, God may provide something even better in its place. He may give you a new way of transportation or a different mode of transportation altogether. The Bible says, "He will fling it on the scrap-heap and give you a new one" (some of the last will be first and some of the first will be last). This is not just about material possessions; it's about spiritual growth and development. When you surrender your car, you're opening yourself up to new experiences, new relationships, and new opportunities for spiritual growth. So, if you have to give up your car, remember that God is not taking away from you; He's giving you something even better in its place.
