The Sovereignty of God in Suffering

When a parent loses their child, it can be a devastating experience. The pain and grief can be overwhelming, and it's natural to wonder why God allowed this to happen. In the Bible, we see examples of people who suffered greatly, yet God remained sovereign over their circumstances. Job, for instance, lost his children and wealth, but God was still in control (Job 1:13-19). Similarly, Hannah, the mother of Samuel, prayed for a child and eventually lost one, but God was still present and sovereign (1 Samuel 1:1-20).

Understanding God's Sovereignty

The Bible teaches that God is sovereign over all creation, including the lives of His children. This means that He has the right to take or spare life as He sees fit.
