Can I still trust God even when things don't make sense?

Trust in God is not blind faith, but rather a choice to rely on Him despite not fully understanding His ways. As the Bible says, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding" (Proverbs 3:5). This means that we must be willing to surrender our own thoughts and feelings, and instead, trust in God's goodness and sovereignty.

The Bible encourages us to exercise faith when we pray, even when things don't make sense. In 1 Corinthians 10:13, it says, "No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can bear it." This verse reminds us that God is always with us, even in the midst of uncertainty and chaos. He is our rock, our shelter, and our guide.

However, trust in God is not a one-time decision, but rather a continuous process. We must choose to trust Him every day, even when things don't make sense. As we respond to God in obedience, we can develop a knack for trusting Him consistently. This is called perseverance. Rather than giving up or turning back to our own understanding, we can choose to trust God's goodness and sovereignty, even when we don't fully understand His ways. Ultimately, trust in God is not about having all the answers, but about choosing to rely on Him, despite not fully understanding His ways. As the Bible says, "The Lord has done great things for us, and we are filled with joy" (Psalm 126:3). We can trust God, even when things don't make sense, because He is our loving Father who is always working for our good.
