Your Question:

Why is God silent?!

Answer:

As a pastor and a follower of God, I've come to realize that God's silence is not a lack of response, but rather a sign of His trust in us. When we pray and don't receive an immediate answer, it's not because God is deaf or ignoring our prayers. Rather, it's because He's bringing us into a deeper understanding of Himself and His purposes. His silence is not a silence of despair, but one of pleasure, because He sees that we can withstand an even bigger revelation.

In fact, I believe that God's silence is often the most profound answer we can receive. It's a sign that He's guiding us with His counsel, even when we don't see immediate results. As the psalmist says, "God will guide him with his counsel into glory even after his heart and flesh fail!" (Psalm 73:24). This means that even in times of silence, God is still working in our lives, shaping us and preparing us for greater things.

As I reflect on my own life and ministry, I've come to see that God's silence is often a call to deeper trust and confidence. When we're not getting the answers we want, it's easy to become discouraged and doubt God's love and care for us. But the truth is, God's silence is the very proof that He's heard us and is working on our behalf. As the psalmist says, "God will give you the very blessings you ask if you refuse to go any further without them, but His silence is the sign that He is bringing you into an even more wonderful understanding of Himself." (Psalm 73:25)
