The Power of Unselfishness

Our daily choices have a profound impact on our relationships. When we prioritize the good of our relationship ahead of self, we experience a depth of connection and intimacy that is unparalleled. This requires giving up our own desires and interests, and instead choosing to act for the welfare of the other. Unselfishness in all areas, including sex, has such value that few marriages are able to maintain a healthy and fulfilling relationship without it. As the Bible teaches, "Right relationships are more important than prosperity, comfort or the other so-called good things in life" (Proverbs 15:17).
