Biblical Answer

The Bible teaches that compassion is a key aspect of the Christian life. In Matthew 14:14, Jesus shows compassion to a great crowd of people and heals their sick. This demonstrates the compassion of Christ toward those in need. The Bible also teaches that kindness is a decision that we make to do for others what they cannot do for themselves in that moment (Proverbs 31:26). When we are kind, we put ourselves at someone's disposal, and kindness has the power to bring about a chain reaction of compassion.
