There are many ways a business can lose integrity, and it is not just about abusing employees or lying in advertising. Price gouging, making inferior products, and planned obsolescence are common ways to short-change customers. I have made some poor financial decisions in my ministry, which could have put Thomas Road Baptist Church and Liberty University out of business. Fortunately, God intervened and gave us the victory for which we prayed. However, I have seen companies lose money due to poor financial decisions, such as investing in ventures that were not profitable. This can lead to massive layoffs and financial strain on the company.

In addition to poor financial decisions, another reason companies lose their way is due to a lack of accountability. When there is no one to report to or be accountable to, bad decisions can be made without consequences. This can lead to a culture of entitlement and a lack of transparency, which can ultimately lead to the downfall of a company. I have seen this happen in my own ministry, where poor financial decisions were made, and it was only when a judge took over the supervision of our finances that we were able to get back on track.

It's also worth noting that companies can lose their way due to a lack of focus on their core values and mission. When a company becomes more focused on making a profit than on serving its customers and community, it can lead to a decline in integrity and ultimately, to financial struggles. This can be seen in the example of a company that invests in ventures that are not aligned with its core values, such as a Christian university that invests in a television venture that loses millions of dollars. Ultimately, a company's integrity and financial stability are closely tied to its ability to stay focused on its core values and mission.
